About Me

Hello! My name is Amita. My relationship with tea started the day I had an epiphany to join a study group on tea. The “study” shifted from a room to tea fields, to tasting rooms, to studios of artists creating artefacts and accoutrements for tea, to auction centres, to the origins where tea was found to be growing wild, and of course meeting with people whose passion is tea. Their passion enthused me not only to know more about tea but more importantly about them!

My experience as a human resource professional  most certainly influenced and decided my approach to the tea industry – through conversations with the “tea people”. In their stories I found the flavour of tea.

The epiphany that led me to the study group has also in some way ordained I share these stories. I am thus the narrator of  “conversations with tea people”.

I hope you sit down with the cup that cheers and enjoy their stories as much as I did.

I raise a cup to each of them!
